Hand Painted Furniture – Bathrooms

burrough bathroom 3 burrough bathroomThere is something I find peaceful about decorating bathrooms – maybe the calm space, the warmth and often the gentle reflections from the smooth surfaces of porcelain and marble and metals.

This project recently completed is hard to photograph, so a couple of pictures and a few words hopefully will give you the atmosphere.

Firstly we decorated the client’s home several years ago, she didn’t want or need radical change in the bathroom, but a bit of Fizz!

So. We hand painted the woodwork, the furniture and bath surrounds. And then dragged a finish over, and laid gold leaf on the drag finish lines. Way too subtle to show up here – but trust me, absolutely gorgeous. Suffused warm reflection and a beautiful sparkle. Satisfying. Very.

Hand Painted Furniture – Kitchens

swiss 026 A kitchen is usually one of the busiest areas in a home – and a recent trend for slightly distressed paint finishes on units can work well. So, as with anything that you want to enjoy and will spend time looking at, it wants to be done properly. We can of course make a sleek and blemish free effect, or like here, a new built unit look timeless, with Vintage Patina – and as old as the hills!

Expert paint knowledge, expert preparation and application technique pays off in the Wow factor. We all need to head off happy in a morning and the Breakfast Room or Kitchen is a great place to start! #traditionalpainter #handpainted

Wallpaper & Wallcoverings

Fancy a Feature Wall with designer wallpaper? – although we have worked around the Market Harborough area for over 35 years, we are very well known for our work in Rutland and London. Simple or elaborate wallpapering requires great skill and patience, it’s an utterly fantastic instant transformation, especially if you want a jaw dropping feature wall!  Great impact for a Bedroom Birthday Surprise or a lift for a guest room when a family wedding is the big event of the year.

It takes years of training to achieve stunning results – special preparation and quiet patience before applying luxurious papers, fabric and gilding finishes to walls. We have enjoyed creating amazing results with flock paper, hand prints, painted silk wallcoverings and metallic thread coverings. Involve us in the early stages, and we can share over 35 years’ experience with you. Call and speak to Mac Devereux-Batchelor – we love to chat through new ideas!
